Armor

Armor can be modded to almost any piece of your equipment (except for weapons).  Armor has many pros and cons.  Pros:  It gives you a chance of bouncing shots, allowing you to get more splats.  Cons:  Takes up lots of weight, is expensive, is worthless if the enemy is using armor piercing paintballs.  

As a trooper you will have access to "a light armor mod" at rank 2.  I would suggest purchasing one or more and modding them to your equipment. Armor can be modded to almost every piece of equipment you have, except a gun.  

a light armor mod Mass: 25 Cost: 500 Weight: 5 Adds 25% armor

a medium armor mod Mass: 50 Cost: 2500 Weight: 10 Adds 50% armor

a heavy armor mod Mass: 75 Cost: 5000 Weight: 25 Adds 75% armor

a super armor mod Mass: 75 Cost: 7500 Weight: 30 Gives item 100% armor. Speed: +1

The super armor mod will bounce every regular paintball shot that hits it.  It will also bounce some nades, rockets, mines, and other armor piercing type shot.  The disadvantage to this mod is that it slows you down considerably.

TIP:  I personally do not like to wear much armor (if any) in tournaments.  90% of the players use armor piercing paint.  This renders armor completely useless.  Its just a waste of money and weight.
