Games of HVPB

There are many regular games that you can play in High Velocity Paintball. This section will describe them and give you some insight into how to play each game. In some games you "respawn", this means that after getting splatted, you get to return to the game after a certain period of time.
Survival - The most popular game in HVPB. Each player plays against each other player. Its a 1 vs. 1 vs. 1 vs. 1 match, no teams. About halfway through each survival game, robots (bots) are released, along with some gems. You can pick up the gems and sell them in the stores.
Squads - This game randomly assigns players to two teams.
Four Corners - Below is a picture of a four corners game. Players are divided into teams of 4. Each team starts from a different corner of the map. 4 flags are placed in the center of the map, 1 for each team. You can pick up another team's flag and return it to your corner to splat their entire team. Or you can simply kill all of your opponents.
Capture The Flag - This game randomly divides every player on the server into two teams, each with a flag. There are two ways to win. Either splat the entire enemy team. Or, pick up the enemy team's flag, and return it to the exact spot where you started from. (This spot is where your flag will be placed.) This game is a combination of trying to protect your flag, yet still trying to get the opposition's flag. TIP: If you want to try and capture the enemy's flag, shoot your flag when the game starts. This will give you a landmark telling you the spot to return their flag to.
Hold the Fort - Below is a picture of a "Hold The Fort" game. In this game there are defenders (inside the fort) and attackers (outside the fort). The goal of each team is to kill off the enemy. TIP: As a defender use terrain inside the fort to your advantage. Also look out for Grenades.
Commandos - This game divides players into teams based on classes. There can only be 1 member of each class per team.
Escape! - Below is an example of an escape game. In this game you are either a guard of a prisoner. The guards are placed inside each red box, and cannot leave their box. The prisoners all start at the far right end of the field. Their goal is to either kill off all of the guards, or to escape out the left side of the field. TIP: When you are standing on one of the vertical red borders a guard cannot shoot you.
Hunt - This game picks one player to be the hunted. Every other player on the server tries to hunt him down and splat him.
Classic Teams - This game groups each team that is online into 2 teams. These two teams play the game against each other. IE: The Matrix; Old School vs. Fight Club; Dream Boys
Buddy - This game puts everyone on the server into teams of 2. You and one other player will take on all the other teams. TIP: If you wish to be paired with a certain player as your buddy, ask them first, then type /bud theirname. IE: Viper bud me? then /bud Viper12
Real Teams - This game places each team on the server against each other. IE The Matrix vs. Old School vs. Fight Club vs. Dream Boys.
Rumble Relay - In this game you team starts in a box outside the playing field. At the start of the game 1 of your players will enter the field. When he dies, the next player will enter the field.
Last Team Standing - In this game players are randomly divided into 2 teams. Whenever a player from team A gets splatted, he goes to the holding area for a few seconds, then respawns as a player on Team B !! You become a member of whatever team splatted you.
Voting for your favorite game is simple. Just hit F5, or go to View-voting. After you have done this a Voting Window will appear.
Doubly
clicking the name of a game type will count your vote towards it. Double
clicking the game type again will make it with the red X, showing that you will
sit that game out. The Percentage sign next to each game shows the percent
of people who want to play that game. The three games with the highest
percentage will be played. You can change your vote at any time.
